I managed to scale the gates this morning. 3 times in fact. Unfortunately, grandma and uncle M caught me the first 2 times. On my 3rd attempt, I managed to get out, but granddad came out after me and shoo-ed me back in the house.
I'll just have to try again.

Caught in the Act (Almost!)
It was very close. I need to be more observant the next time. I was trying to access my blog and post and entry when Uncle M caught me. I had to quickly exit the screen and pretend that I was just playing with his keyboard.
Can't let him know that I am actually a lot smarter than he thinks!

Lost & Found
Oh what great joy! Granddad found my nice orange collar. Now I don't have to wear that sissy pink collar. :o)

Collared
I lost my nice orange collar on Saturday. It happened when I was caught on something. No one was home at that time and as usual I was up to my antics. Mommy noticed my collar missing when she came back and Granddad dug up a pink (ugh!) one that Mindy used to wear for me. So now I'm wearing a pink (ugh!) collar. I'm a boy for crying out loud, not a girl. Why a pink (ugh!) collar. Hopefully Mommy will get me a nice collar to match my golden coat. I really dislike the pink (ugh!) collar.
For those new mommies out there. It's very important to get collars that can break-away as opposed to those that are fixed. It was a good thing that I had a break-away collar that allowed me to break free when I got stuck. I'm pretty sure that if I didn't have such safety collar, I would have lost one of my nine lives by the time my Mommy got home. Here's where you can find out more about how to choose the right cat collar.
So unless you can be 100% sure that you are able to maintain constant surveillance on your babies, it's always better to get a safety collar. I know because I'm speaking from experience, having nearly lost one life.

On the Edge
I think I figured out a great way to keep Mommy on her toes.
It's fun to watch her panic and go around the whole house calling my name when she can't find me. By not responding to her, she thinks I've managed to escape for another walk around the neighborhood.
This is definitely more entertaining then the walk itself. ;o)

My First Birthday

I turn one today. My mom said that I should probably share all my misadventures so that other kittens can learn from my experiences. Although I'm not a big cat (I'm only 1 afterall), I've had my fair share of misadventures.
I came into the home of my family, together with my baby brother Mikey, about a year ago. Since then, I've been showered with love (both the lovey-dovey kinda love as well as the tough love that included a terrifying stick which grandpa will yield when I get too naughty). I think I had more tough love than my brother. :oP
Besides being the adventurous one, I'm also quite a hunter. I have caught cockroaches, lizards, toads, flying ants and moths. I would like to bring more presents to my mommy but I think she doesn't really appreciate my efforts. I wonder if it had anything to do with the bout of diarrhoea and vomiting I had a few weeks ago.
I'm still trying to figure out what's the best way to get out of the house to go for a little walk. I managed to get out through one of the bedrooms last week. Took a walk to the Uncle B's house a couple of doors down and promptly forgot how to come home. Luckily mommy came to my rescue but I think she's upset that I poked holes into her favorite shirt. I really can't help it. I was terrified when I went into Uncle B's house and realized that it's not my house! Still, I don't mind another little adventure like that if I get the chance.
:o)
